Kofi Kingston on WM35 Match & Vince McMahon, Rousey Breaks Record

Kofi Kingston is getting ready for the biggest match of his entire WWE career, which will be taking place next week at WrestleMania 35. Kingston will be wrestling Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35. The match was brought on by the recent matches Kofi has had, as well as the wave of fan support that Kingston has been receiving over the past couple of weeks. Several fans and wrestlers alike are hoping to see Kingston pull out a win and become the champion for the first time in his career, but earning the match against Bryan wasn’t easy. Vince McMahon spent weeks doing all that he could to prevent the match from being made official for WrestleMania, but in the end, he finally relented. Now, the New Day member is reflecting on his big match and speaking out on working with McMahon.
The WWE Championship challenger took to Twitter earlier today to talk about achieving his dream of competing for WWE’s world title on “The Grandest Stage of Them All.” He insinuated that someone does not want him to be in the spot that he is in, but he wants to prove them wrong next weekend. The person that Kingston is referring to is likely WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, who he says is “impossible to trust” at times. Although McMahon may not see him as a world champion, Kingston has got a ton of supporters who will be rooting for him at WrestleMania 35. If Kingston pulls off the win, he will becomes the 51st WWE Champion. It all goes down during WrestleMania 35 in East Rutherford New Jersey on April 7th.

One week from today, I will be on the cusp of achieving my childhood dream, wrestling for the WWE title…(crazy to say that)
Since a certain someone has made it impossible to trust him at his word, I’m gonna need to see something in writing. No more games.

Since joining WWE, Ronda Rousey has already managed to accomplish a lot for herself. She is still undefeated in singles competition and she is also the Raw Women’s Champion at the moment. In fact, Fightful notes that Rousey just became the longest-reigning Raw Women’s Champion ever. As of today, Rousey has snapped the record previously held by Alexa Bliss at 224 days. The title was introduced at WrestleMania 32 in 2016 as the Women’s Championship before it eventually became the Raw Women’s Championship as a result of the resurrection of the brand split later that year. Rousey will defend her title against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in the main event of WrestleMania 35 next Sunday night.
